At least once a day I read a cover letter or a resume that says "I am interested in applying for the roll you advertised..." Maybe you should have had that bread-roll before sending in your application for the actual role? Or maybe we should insist on the word 'roll' to be listed as a synonym to the word 'role'???

Spellcheck is great (I wish they created a pen with a similar built-in functionality, - a girl can dream) but it is not quite enough. Please do invest your time into writing and proofreading something that will represent you professionally.
