It's not surprising to hear that even something as simple as work-life balance can affect your overall happiness, so when I heard about a segment on the morning show, Breakfast, I needed to watch it. It somewhat coincides with what I've been trying to achieve from this experiment and whether or not it has actually made me a happier and more productive person at work.
Going without technology started with much difficulty but it gradually became easier. I have been able to block out the digital world and experience more with my head looking more up than down. It has allowed me to appreciate the little things.
I have one more week to go and I am spending the entire week in a different city. I understand that I will have my work with me and I will have my phone on, but I will be able to disconnect and enjoy my time in different surroundings.
I highly encourage others giving this experiment a shot.
