While I'm sure there are stringent measures in places to prevent artificial intelligence (AI) robots from killing us in the future, one thing is certain: they will definitely take people's jobs.
On second thought, maybe they will kill us as well. Just a few days ago, Facebook abandoned an experiment after two AI robots started speaking in a strange language only they understood. Scary stuff?
Either way, before world domination, many jobs will be replaced by robots who will be capable of basic tasks currently performed by humans, and it has been happening for years already. This will no doubt result in an increase in poverty for many, which in turn will have huge negative effects on society.
How do we deal with this dire inevitability? Elon Musk believes he has the answer. What do you think?
“deep artificial intelligence, or artificial general intelligence, where you can have artificial intelligence that is much smarter than the smartest human on Earth, this is a dangerous situation.”
