Although, in time, I believe the tables will turn again, currently it still feels like a candidate driven-market.

Retaining top talent long term is becoming more difficult as employees are continuously exposed, and continually persuaded, to join companies with more enticing company cultures and better work environments.

Personally, I think IBM got it right in how they suggest an employee’s experience could be improved by including a greater focus on increasing workplace flexibility and autonomy, encouraging transparency, and promoting honesty throughout the company.

Streamlining workplace processes, promoting authenticity in the company’s culture and leadership and providing real-time feedback to team members is definitely the way to go.
