This is a comment that I have heard plenty of times from colleagues, clients, candidates and pretty much everyone. Honestly, it comes from myself also!
The reality is that we can't change time, although maybe in the future we can do away with our commute. With the move to remote working, the way we work may change, freeing up some time in the process, but the reality is there will never be enough time in the day.
My advice? Prioritising is everything. Not just at the start of the day but often these priorities need to be adapted depending on what is happening.
You also need to think about how you prioritise. I think we are all guilty of putting something first on our list because is has been there the longest, but really we should be thinking about what activity is the most important due to the true value it brings.
How do you get the most out of your day?
One of the biggest challenges for project managers and leaders is accurately prioritizing the work that matters on a daily basis. Even if you have the best project management software on the planet, you’re the one who enters information into the tool. And, you don’t want to fall into the role of crying “top priority” for every other project that comes down the pike.
